Mr. Bingle

Created in 1947 by Emile Alline Sr., Mr. Bingle became a beloved icon thanks to puppeteer Edwin “Oscar” Isentrout, who brought the character to life through enchanting puppet shows at the department store. After Dillard’s purchased Maison Blanche in 1998, the company embraced the character’s cultural legacy, continuing to sell Mr. Bingle merchandise.
